KimKaps Cares has been involved with the Days for Girls organization since 2016, donating thousands of yards of textiles and helping prepare thousands of feminine hygiene kits for distribution to girls in Haiti.
How We Donate (and how you can help!):
- The excess material from cutting hats is perfect for subsequently cutting into the proper shapes for the hygiene kits, an eco-friendly practice that saves thousands of pounds of fabric from the scrap heap, as well as thousands of hours of cutting for Days for Girls volunteers.
- We order bolts of fabric specifically to cut into kits and donate to Days for Girls volunteers for their workdays.
- When you use our custom cap option and send in your own fabric for that one-of-a-kind scrub cap, you can choose to have your remaining fabric returned to you or donate it to be used in these kits.
